India’s largest 4G network operator, Reliance Jio has changed their plans once again in these covid-19 days. Last year it has changed its plans as per the regulations of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India).
The company was providing a work from home pack which was of Rs 251. The plan was introduced first in IPL 2019. Later the category was changed.
Change in plans of Reliance Jio:
The benefit of this Rs 251 work from home pack, was 2GB per day for 51 days. The pack didn’t require any base plan offered by Reliance Jio. The incoming call facility was available while Outgoing call was an exception. The company has changed the plan benefits today, and the new one offers 50GB of data with no daily data cappings.
The total data offered by Reliance Jio was (2GB*51days)= 102GB previously. If you view from this point the offering by Jio has been reduced. If you look at the data cappings previously it was 2GB per day now there is no data cappings at all. You can consume 50GB in a day or use it till the end of your base plan, its your choice.
What about the new plans in Reliance Jio?
The only plan which Reliance jio modified was of Rs 251. Except that they have lauch new attractive plans also. They have launched data vouchers of Rs 201, 151 which offers 40GB and 30GB data respectively.
The main highlight of aforesaid plans is that they are just like postpaid plans. No data limitations per day at all.
Previously Reliance Jio was providing a annual plan of Rs 2121 which offers 336 days of validity with unlimited 504Gb(1.5 GB per day),Jio to Jio unlimited calls,Non Jio 12000 Mins,100 SMS/Day and complementary subscription to all premium Jio apps.
Mukesh Ambani’s Jio, has not discontinued this plan yet. Rather they have launched a new plan pricing @Rs2399 which is offering 2GB per day data in this pandemic days for the sake of employees who are working from home.
Talking about pricing, the effective price of this plan is Rs 200/Month. Which is cheaper than the existing monthly plans of RJio. In monthly plans Rs 199 is the option of getting 1.5Gb per day.
Now if you want to get 2Gb per day you have to spent Rs 249 on monthly basis. Keeping that in mind we can say that Jio is less costly now. Reliance jio always claims that they are providing value for money plans over their competitor. For previous plans they mentioned the percentage was 25. This time it is 33%.
Airtel and Vodafone provides 1.5Gb @Rs 2398 for 1Years. The only drawback of Reliance Jio is is does not provide unlimited calls to other network. On the other hand competitors are providing truly unlimited call. Which can be done to any network.
